Furthermore, this has been a major challenge for 2017 JAMBITE, that is why we have spent our quality time to drafting this post UTME guide which will serve as a mirror picturing the upcoming screening exercise update.

Above all, the article below will explain how higher institutions in Nigeria will be conducting screening exercise for Post-UTME and Direct Entry applicant 2017.

Post UTME/DE Admission Screening Methods

1. FIRST – ONLINE SCREENING: First of all, most schools will only require you to only upload your UTME and O’level results as well as other relevant documents online. No doubt, this may be all that is required for you to be screened for admission. As a matter of fact, the school admission officers will now have to go through all the documents and details you have provided to determine if you are qualified for admission.

2. SECONDLY – PHYSICAL SCREENING: For some other schools, instead of demanding your documents upload online, will rather ask you to present your document physically in the school premises or any other designated venue at a specific date which will be communicated to all the candidates who applied top the school.

However, for some schools, even after uploading your details online, will still demand that you come physically to the school for screening. On the other hand, all you need to do is to visit the school on the specific date and go through the screening exercise. Meanwhile, the screening comprises mainly of checking your results and relevant documents to be sure it is the same with the one you uploaded.
3. LASTLY – APTITUDE TEST/INTERVIEW SCREENING: Presently, based on directives from JAMB this method of screening should only be for direct Entry (DE) candidates. Moreover, Despite the fact that JAMB has directed institutions to stop conducting exams or any form of test for UTME candidates as a means of screening them for admission, some schools, mostly private universities still do so.
